Redcurrant Jam!

We´ve had some very busy and also very great days around here, I will show you more of that later.

As always when my mother is visiting we get tons of things done, and yesterday Freja and granny picked and made redcurrant jam.

My contribution was behind the camera, saving the afternoon for the future.

My mother aslo made these sweet jar covers. Good looking as well as sweet tasting jam!

I think I will make wednesdays my flower days here at Annas Dagar. I really enjoy taking these flower pictures. Todays flowers are from a bush growing in the garden, I don´t know the name but the smell is just delightful. Especially in the evenings when sitting out on the terrace, ahhh, finally summer!

More pillows!

I´ve managed to steel some time for a little bit of sewing. Now the dull old coach looks summer happy!

Happy Midsummer!

Yesterday evening whilst doing some chrocheting I looked out of the window and saw this little woodpecker.

I carefully sneaked up and open the terrace door and then realised it was a mother with her baby. All exited I took these pictures. A bit too far distance but I didn´t won´t to scare them off. I think their colour is just amazing.

Today is Midsummer in Sweden and even here in Denmark the weather is traditional Midsummer weather, cold and rainy even chance for a bit of thunderstorm...
Well never mind the weather, we will have a nice time indoors eating away on fresh strawberries

A tote bag for Freja!

Not what I had in mind...

After working on my heaxgon blanket for a while I realised I didn´t like the yarn I used. To woolly and to heavy for a cosy blanket. So not so much blanket as a, let´s say, seatcover or something like that.

I still like the look of my mini blanket though and the colours too. And it was really fun doing hexagons so with some softer yarn I will give it another try... Some day I WILL have my hexagon blanket big enough for cold autumn evenings.

Pillowcase

It´s cold and it´s raining and I need some bright colours to cher me up. And this pillowcase made of just that, bright coloured fabric is brightening my day!
