Today we went to Børglum Klosters Christmas fair. This year it was 150 years ago since H.C. Andersen stayed at Børglum Kloster. All the christmas decorations were inspired by H.C. Andersens fairy tales and true to 1859 style. Today the Monastery is privately owned but every year the Family Rottbøll are inviting the public into their beautiful and very historical home. The Monastery Church is normally open during the summer months and part of the exibitions runs all year long.
This year was very special for me. One year ago me and Freja went only the two of us, I had just returned home from the hospital with Hanna and Sofia, they were still tiny and couldn't be out in the cold winter weather. This year the five of us went together.
The Monastery church was decorated with hundreds of candles warming the damp air. Then we listend to the royal soprano Djina Mai Mai performing christmas carols. I just closed my eyes, it was so very beautiful.
Back home, and back to my making of stars. I've seen these chroched stars all over in blogland for a while now. I didn´t follow any pattern, just tried and made them as above. I think they will be snowflakes in the window for Advent. So far only white but maybe I will make some red and grey ones, a bit like classic Swedish Christmas - Tomten by Viktor Rydberg.
Have a lovely lovely weekend!

Grey and beautiful!
It's really grey in my part of the world but here and there splashes of intense beautiful colour.

Teddy!
Teddy is now in Sweden with cousin Ellen. I found the pattern in this sweet book, and the heart is from here.
Many of you asked for the pattern to Shy little Bunny, and I'm afraid I can't give you the tutorial, since I just made it up while I was chrocheting away. If you look closely you can see that legs, feet, arms and ears are not the same size...
I will make another Bunny and I promise you I will write the pattern down. But it will take me a while.
I have been thinking a lot about my blogging lately, mostly beacuse time is not by my side. I love to visit you all, you are such great inspiration and I would love if I had the time to sit down to comment properly, but as said already, I have trouble finding the time to fit all things in. Family is most important and work very necessary. I have decided to keep on blogging when time allows me, and I want you to know how much I appreciate you all even if I'm from time to time seems a little absent.
With all my love

HELLO!
Just a quick hello, just to let you know I'm still alive. Life is going on very much at the moment so therefore I'm a little absent here.
Shy little Bunny is freezing in this cold grey weather of ours, so I made her some cloths in very soft wool to keep her warm and cosy. I think she likes them, don't you!?

And I also got this great award from MiA with the lovely blog Min Inspiration, she is also one of the girls behind one of my favorite places, Mönster Arkivet. Thanks MiA, your inspiration is also mine.
I pass this award on to:
Louise at Polliver. I love here sense for details.
Med Nål och Tråd, for the very inspirational blog and her work with Mönster Arkivet.
Until soon (I hope)

Chrocheted Baby Owl
On a very rainy day we spotted this little baby owl hiding here and there on our farmyard.
Fun little project and I think I might try out a mini version to use as Christmas tree decorations, wouldn't that be cute!

Shy little Bunny!

Even long before I know how to chrochet I wanted to make chrocheted toys, or amigurumis. I never thought it would happen though. To read a pattern, well not the actual reading but to read and understand and then make something that looked simular to what the pattern described seemed to be an impossibel task for me.

But after some training and reading and trying out a few patterns I finally tried to make my own little Bunny.
So here she is my shy little pure wool Bunny. About 20 cm from head to toe. After finsihing and sewing the parts together I gave her a good brush to create a bit of a worn look (not very clear on the photos).
Me and my little Bunny wish you all a lovely evening!

Work today!
Sometimes my work brings me out in the fields. Todays work was a photo session with Bambi and Kim.
Bambi appeared in the last issue of the Danish hunting magazine "Jagt, vildt & våben" modelling for an articel about Bracco Italiano.
Today it was time to make some new photos.
Some of you "dog people" out there can see how focused Bambi is. She loves her work and is full of power.

Here is a peek of what I been up to (oh no, still the same twins just a year older... ;o)). Hanna and Sofia turned one the 2nd of October. These pictures are very personal but I thought I share them with you so you can see how big of a deal this is for us.

Hanna and Sofia were born 6 weeks to early with an emergency cut, since the three of us, all
of a sudden were in a life-threatening situation. It was a very difficult first week but since that week everything has been going more then well.

Ten things about me...
A got an award twice (!) this week, thank you so much Louise at Polliver and Med Nål och Tråd! And with the reward I have to reveal 10 things about me. So here we go:- I love coffee, an italian espresso makes me smile!
- Just passing by a hospital makes me sick and I find it difficult to breathe...
- Since 2005 Iam my own boss working from home.
- I just learnead how to chrochet Christmas 2008 (thanks to my mum). Now I'm addicted.
- I'm a tiny bit like "Monica" from the TV-show Friends, I like it clean - with 3 kids and 3 (big) dogs it's a constant battle inside of me...
- I love GLÖGG, it has to be the Swedish kind, every year we also make our own, it takes about 8 weeks and then you have the most divine glögg for cold winter evenings infront of the fireplace!
- I sometimes find myself day dreaming about yarn!
- I find it almost impossible to learn how to speak Danish. Not the words but the dialect. (I do understand Danish perfectely I have to say to my defense).
- You know I'm Swedish. Right!?
- My kind of sweets Djungelvrål!

Miaow!
When I found this POINTY KITTY PATTERN
I just had to try it. But since my Kitty got a very furry head she looks more like a little lion... and for the first time in my life I tried blanket stiching by hand...and the result, well just say I need some more practise but it was really funny to make Pointy Kitty so I will definetely give it another go!
